The 2 Ians are pleased to be artists in residence at St Andrews Mews. Both use pre-existing materials to create work though the results are distinctly different.

Transformations
Transformations is an evolving intervention by artist/curator Christine Gist. Since early June she has been creating a changing work in response to the space & it’s location in St Andrews Mews with the unrelated units that create the mews.
Tressell’s Children Part 2
A collaborative, immersive installation inspired by the lives of working-class people in Hastings.
Tressell’s Children, MSL’s heritage and arts project took place over the summer of 2023. This exhibition will show the work of the local people who took part in the project to create pieces in a range of mediums in response to local archive material and their own experiences.

We’ll be doing Japanese inspired kurinuki ceramic art including beautiful clay boxes
(Working with real ceramic clay)
Attendees will ideally need to be available for both weekends in a row as the process will involve kiln firing between.
Incubate-8
As the name suggests; 8 artists have been working in separate ‘incubation’ in the upstairs gallery at St Andrews Mews. The residency will culminate in an exhibition of work produced during this time, on Saturday 29 July, 6-8pm. We shall also open on Sunday 30 July 12-5pm.
