As the name suggests; 8 artists have been working in separate ‘incubation’ in the upstairs gallery at St Andrews Mews. The residency will culminate in an exhibition of work produced during this time, on Saturday 29 July, 6-8pm. We shall also open on Sunday 30 July 12-5pm.

In the “incubator room”, artists are held in a safe space in which they aim to explore some creative aspect hitherto perhaps neglected or hidden away…we want to give “permission” to everyone to enable this…

It is envisaged that working alongside other artists similarly engaged, will enrich and inform individual practice. 

Collectively we are each housed under one roof in our separate ‘incubators’. It is a confinement of sorts. But despite this, personal creative freedoms are actively encouraged to flourish and grow…

This initiative by Helen Savage and Abi Stockbridge is the third curatorial project under their creative partnership Savage*Stockbridge.
